“I got into plumbing through work experience in high school. I completed a week with a plumbing company and found I quite enjoyed what was involved and was lucky enough to be offered an apprenticeship.”
“My favourite part about plumbing is the satisfaction you get when you have completed a nice neat job for a client, especially when some points of the job were challenging. I also love the fact you never stop learning new techniques or information no matter how much experience you have.”
Toby loves spending time outdoors! some activities he enjoys are “fitness, spending time at the beach and sightseeing.”
“My number 1 tip for aspiring plumbers is to try and get into a pre-apprenticeship course to get a rough idea of exactly what’s involved in plumbing and why it’s such a good trade to have. This hands on experience will allow you to figure out if it is the apprenticeship for you.”
“People are very surprised when I tell them I’m a good cook.”
So, the next time our undercover MasterChef Toby is at your house fixing a problem don’t forget to ask him what his favourite recipe is or if he has any cooking tips!
